Implement outline tracking for tables also. Of course, when there is a table within some section with a heading that would imply multiple selections in the Navigator (the current heading and the current table). Also (as it is now), choosing "select" after having selected a table in the Navigator, does not select the whole table (as it should), but only the top left cell it seems. In addition outline tracking for headings is supended after a table has been clicked on in Navigator. I think there should be a universal outline tracking concept involving headings, tables, frames, images, etc.
Ulrich, thank you for enhancement request. Please attach a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to follow your suggestion. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested document is provided. (Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive information before attaching it) cc: Jim Raykowski Jim, I'm not sure, if I understand that request in total, but you might be interested in it.
Created attachment 170329 [details] Sample document with some headings and tables If you click on some normal text in the sample document, heading outline will select the heading the text is in. However when you click inside a table, only the heading will be selected in the outline (not the table). So my proposal is that heading _and_ table will be selected in the outline if the cursor is inside a table which is inside a section with a heading. I also noticed that outline tracking stops after you selected a table in the navigator; to resume outline tracking for sections, you'll have to click some section in the navigator first.
Hi Ulrich, I think universal outline tracking concept involving headings, tables, frames, images, etc. was added after the version you are using. Is it possible for you to test these issues using the current nightly build or a newer version than what you are using? A new bug report should be created, if there isn't already one, for the table "select" not selecting the entire table.
