Description: In KDE Neon, when I copy a text and paste it in LibreOffice, the text is pasted twice. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Copy a text from anywhere, and paste it to LibreOffice Writer. 2. The text is pasted twice. Actual Results: The text is pasted duplicated. Expected Results: The text should be pasted one time. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: This problem occurs in KDE Neon, not in Windows and Ubuntu.
Confirmed in Kubuntu 21.04, LO 7.2 Seems that the Ctrl key is acting twice. Ctrl+Shit+S issues 2 "Save As" commands. Ctrl+O issues 2 "Open file" commands.

I think the problem is (on my case) because I have installed the security app from Banco do Brasil (Brasilian Bank) to access it in browser. When I uninstalled it the problem has gone!

(In reply to Toni_Rocha from comment #0) > This problem occurs in KDE Neon, not in Windows and Ubuntu. Then this is not a dupe of bug 138085
Btw. not reproduced here - I don't have KDE's clipboard manager active. Do you? You can deactivate it by right-clicking your system tray, selecting System Tray settings, clicking Icons tab, scrolling to system services and changing the setting for Clipboard (I'm using Finnish KDE desktop, so I hope the English strings are right).
(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #6) > Btw. not reproduced here - I don't have KDE's clipboard manager active. Do > you? I am affected by this bug as well. I am running Kubuntu 21.04 (not KDE Neon). However, this is a very weird bug, because it is caused by some interaction with another package that some people install on Linux to be able to access their banking accounts: the "warsaw" package. See, I started having this issue right after I installed "warsaw" to be able to access my bank accounts (this is a very common requirement among Brazilian banks). But it took me a long time to figure out the problem... I saw someone saying in a forum or Reddit post (I can't recall exactly where) that this problem was being caused by the warsaw package. So as soon as I uninstalled the package and restarted the PC, everything was back to normal. Copying and pasting was restored. However, now I can no longer access my bank accounts on my PC. Another weird aspect of this bug: it only happens if the menubar is visible (even with warsaw installed). If you switch to the Tabbed interface and hide de menubar, the bug vanishes. Moreover, only LibreOffice is affected by this package. All other software work as expected. Couldn't it be something related to the Kf5 backend?
Olivier confirmed removing warsaw fixed the issue. However, he only saw the problem when using the distro package of LibreOffice. In his own builds the problem was not seen.
This problem still persists in LO 7.5 alpha. Although it can be said that the "warsaw" package is to blame for this bug, I find it weird that only LibreOffice is affected by installing this package. I believe there's something different that LO does concerning the clipboard that results in double pasting. In comment #7 I suggested removing the "warsaw" package altogether, but this may not be very practical for some users who really need to use internet banking and must have this package installed. So I'd like to share what I've been doing to use LibreOffice alongside warsaw in Kubuntu. Basically, I installed the package and stopped the service via systemctl: systemctl stop warsaw.service Then, when I need to use internet banking, I start the service: systemctl start warsaw.service And after I'm finished, I stop the service once again to use LibreOffice.
If anyone ever tries to fix this, the warsaw package is downloaded via: https://diagnostico.gasantifraud.com/ Just choose the option "CAIXA".
Just an update... I'm still getting the "double-paste" behavior using the Basic IDE in LO 7.6. However, the issue is gone using the Basic IDE in 24.8.
