Would be nice to have a screenshot attached next time for reference, and the above line implies regression, but no specifics of what "better" used to be, and in which version that was.

The result actually looked good until the following commit in 6.4:
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=83baaec3a087f83d0ad3371d55671d9496771586
author Xisco Fauli <xiscofauli@libreoffice.org>	2019-10-21 17:41:52 +0200
committer	Xisco Faulí <xiscofauli@libreoffice.org>	2019-10-24 11:30:38 +0200
tdf#115967: Revert "sw: Use primitive renderer for graphics"

And indeed, looked similar to now before the reverted commit in 6.0:
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=302af8c2da58719844d22483b65a9fe5b3674684
author Armin Le Grand <Armin.Le.Grand@cib.de>	2017-08-22 10:05:15 +0200
committer	Thorsten Behrens <Thorsten.Behrens@CIB.de>	2017-08-22 14:42:28 +0200

"sw: Use primitive renderer for graphics"

Somewhere before this commit, still in 6.0, the rendering worsened to this state from "just" blurriness, which was the result starting from 4.3, ending with 5.4. And in 4.2 the result once again looked reasonably fine.
