Thorsten: having noticed your work on MacOs part, thought you might be interested in this one.

Personally, I have noticed some screen drawing issues when scrolling through Writer documents, in particular screen tearing, especially on initial load of the document. Whole sections appear to be missing throughout the page display. This is on my MacbookPro (macOS BigSur Apple M1).

I haven't yet been able to nail down the precise conditions under which this occurs though.

Here is another capture that shows the scaling difference between the cells sizes and both vertical and horizontal columns / lines numbering

Unfortunately I am not able to reproduce on macOS Big Sur 11.2.1, neither with retina display nor without.

What hardware do you use? Are there multiple displays attached and are these displays retina displays or non-retina displays?

In case of multiple displays: Are these displays turned on prior to starting LO or after LO is running?
Comment 6 Olivier Blanc 2021-04-02 16:19:19 UTC
My hardware is
MaxOS Big Sur
version Beta 11.3 (20E5224a)
Processor Intel Core i7 Quad core 2.5 GHz
Graphic AMD Radeon R9 M370X

I have 2 Acer screens attached (B226HQL)
Both screens are attached and powered on before LO is started.

I dont have the problem with LO v7.0.5.2
Comment 7 Thorsten Wagner 2021-04-02 18:14:22 UTC
And you are using LO 7.1.2 not 7.1.1? Does the issue still exist if you disconnect the external displays?

Writer blacks blocs
Comment 9 Olivier Blanc 2021-04-02 18:26:12 UTC
Sorry, my mistake, I am using 7.1.1.2

It is better when I disconnect external screens. But still I have some black blocs when I scroll my document.

I tried Calc, it is much better. The scale problem between the cell scale and horizontal / vertical numbering seems solved.
Comment 10 Thorsten Wagner 2021-04-02 18:28:58 UTC
Please upgrade to 7.1.2. 7.1.2 is available for download. Issue is fixed in 7.1.2.

Version 7.1.2.2 works fine
Sorry for bugging you. I should have take the last version (well, i thought I did).
Many thanks for your help
