Description birnbach@posteo.de 2021-08-24 17:07:04 UTC
Description:
Draw and Impress both support several slides which can be shown as miniatures, usually vertically on the left side of the drawing area.

Control over which slides are printed is very poor. Some UI elements seem incorrectly wired up, others cannot be operated or are not working at all.

In the "LibreOffice" section of the printing dialogue, there are three radio buttons for selecting what to print. Under these buttons are a text field and a drop down list. The list has no items to it and is thus not usable.

The radio button options are these:
* "all slides" --> works
* "slides:" --> permits to edit the text field, but the information is disregarded. The first selected slide in the miniatures pane will be printed.
* "selection" --> effects the same as "slides:", only without permitting editing the text field.

The printing dialogue also supports a checkbox "print selection only" which toggles the radio buttons between the first and the third options.

A first click on the box does not check it, but selects the third option. A second click does not change the selected radio button but checks the box. A third click unchecks the box and sets the radio button to the first option.

NOTE: the OS section of the dialogue permits selecting a page range to print. This ticket is not about that section. However, the LibreOffice section of the dialogue is supposed to give more control which it does not. There seems to be no way to enter the pages to print in numerical format "1,3" or "7,2,15,8" or "1-2,4" or "1-4,5-7".

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create or open multi slide document in Impress or Draw
2. select two slides in the miniature overview (adjacent or not)
3. open printing dialogue to print selected slide
4. check "print selection only"

Actual Results:
first selected page is printed

Expected Results:
selected pages are printed

Reproducible: Always
