Description: As the DRAW software offers many layers, which I appreciate very much, it comes to a limit in the handling of a larger numeber of layers. In my view the following, additional tools would be helpful: Layer-Toolbox: - Select / deselect all Layers, no layers - list the layers vertically (my monitor would have to be 2 meters to display all layer I'am using right now. including a search function for the layer's name and a choice to list the layers according to name, orignal row - store / recall the layer-settings Also useful would be a function to find any text in any (or selected) layers I hope this is a useful proposal. Thank you for your efforts. All the best and good health for 2022. Kind regards from Switzerland Peter H. Thank you for sharing your LibreOffice Draw user interface experience. We have already bug 56498 with some discussions about handling layers. Please consider the bugs too, which are listed in section 'See also' there. And we have a collection of layer related suggestions in bug 99648. It is difficult to work with reports, which cover several different topics. Your proposal is about management of layers and about extending search to consider layers. Because we have already some requests for improving the management of layers, this report should focus on 'extend search to consider layers'. In case you agree, please change the subject line accordingly. Please have a look at the bugs listed in bug 99648 and/or bug 56498, whether they already cover your ideas for better management of layers. If not, please write a second report for such layer management suggestions from you, which are really new.
