Are you sure? It's the same version as in description.

Is the step 1 in description necessary, especially Firebird ODB, to reproduce the bug?

Status has been set to NEEDINFO, please set it back to UNCONFIRMED once requested information has been provided.

Screen capture of non-functioning form wizard in LO Vanilla

Notice how the unassisted form creation shortcut works, but the form wizard shortcut doesn't

Comment 8 Jean-Baptiste Faure 2022-05-18 14:47:43 UTC
Note reproducible for me with

Version: 7.3.4.0.0+ / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 7f989417a1f16b6db6b9b0fbc6bb6ffd7a81bb1c
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.13; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR
Ubuntu_20.04_x86-64
Calc: threaded

nor with

Version: 7.2.8.0.0+ / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: ffa09959edd087794b1f2fe6b9b6faac484ef74b
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.13; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR
Ubuntu_20.04_x86-64
Calc: threaded

In the last case (LO 7.2.8.0.0+) form wizard starting fails with an error message about JRE missing because LO 7.2.8 is not installed. Anyway, that shows that something starts when clicking on Create Form with Wizard

Best regards. JBF
Comment 9 Alex Thurgood 2022-05-19 08:55:23 UTC
This bug only affects LibreOffice Vanilla (or "Community" as it is called in the version information) and Collabora Office, as released through the macOS AppStore.

It does not affect LibreOffice Community released by TDF, as mentioned in comment 2.
Comment 10 Alex Thurgood 2022-05-19 08:57:44 UTC
If the Form Wizard relies in any way on Java, that would be an explanation why it doesn't work, as Collabora does not support Java integration in their product releases.

Will work with

of Collabora Office here. Java also has been included. Special Mac-bug?

Yes, Collabora don't include any Java support in the macOS Appstore release.
Comment 13 Alex Thurgood 2022-09-20 08:32:17 UTC
Updated to also include LibreOffice now available from appstore:

Version: 7.3.6.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: c28ca90fd6e1a19e189fc16c05f8f8924961e12e
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 12.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR
Calc: threaded
Comment 14 Alex Thurgood 2022-09-20 08:33:09 UTC
Reproduced with appstore version:

Version: 7.3.6.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: c28ca90fd6e1a19e189fc16c05f8f8924961e12e
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 12.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR
Calc: threaded
Comment 15 Alex Thurgood 2022-11-03 14:02:16 UTC
It is a reflection of a rather sad state of affairs to notice that this bug was opened 11 months ago and still hasn't been confirmed for macOS.
Comment 16 Alex Thurgood 2023-03-15 09:34:54 UTC
This is still not working in LibreOffice from the Apple app store :

Version: 7.4.6.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 5b1f5509c2decdade7fda905e3e1429a67acd63d
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 13.2.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR
Calc: threaded

However, it does work correctly in the LibreOffice app bundle available from the project download page:

Version: 7.4.5.1 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 9c0871452b3918c1019dde9bfac75448afc4b57f
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 13.2.1; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: osx
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR
Calc: threaded
Comment 17 Alex Thurgood 2023-03-15 09:52:16 UTC
The reason it doesn't work in the LibreOffice bundle from the macOS Apple Store is probably because everything in:

/core/tree/master/wizards/com/sun/star/wizards/form/

appears to be Java code, and this can not be executed in the app store version as JVM support has been removed.
Comment 18 Alex Thurgood 2023-03-15 09:55:15 UTC
So how high in importance should a bug be set which does nothing when the relevant button is pressed, and which forms the basis of one of the major helper functions for users in a product that is pushed through the app store ?
Comment 19 Julien Nabet 2023-04-30 06:00:24 UTC
Not specific to Firebird
