When we insert a table in Impress, by default, it has alternating row colors. However, when you enter Table Properties > Background - one can only select a single color, not a pair of them.
I should also mention I would expect a third setting, for the table header, although that's perhaps less critical if you can change it view selecting the header row and right-clicking.
This would be a dupe of bug 92234, which is Writer but there's bug 101802 so it should be the same. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 92234 ***
(In reply to Timur from comment #2) > This would be a dupe of bug 92234, which is Writer So, not a dupe of that yet, since it's not the same UI (and that bug is not for all of LO) > but there's bug 101802 so it should be the same. That one is: 1. About the sidebar and 2. Not resolved yet
What you do is inflating number of bugs, without prior search or trying to understand what may or will not be done. DO NOT set Reopen when I or member of QA sets status. You may call someone else in CC if you disagree. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 92234 ***
(In reply to Timur from comment #4) > What you do is inflating number of bugs I don't care about the number of bugs. I do care about there being an open bug about outstanding issues. On the other hand, I could raise a similar question about your motivation: Are you sure you are not rushing to mark dupes because you disapprove of the number of bugs rising? > without prior search How do you know whether I've searched or not? > or trying to understand what may or will not be done. Not sure what you're talking about. > DO NOT set Reopen when I or member of QA sets status. Timur, I don't take orders from you. The norm is, that confirmation (NEW status) requires acknowledgement/agreement by others. But the question of whether bugs are duplicates of each other is a matter for discussion. > You may call someone else in CC if you disagree. I will also do that; let's see what Regina says, for example. Or we could ask Heiko to chime in. But you should not mark bugs as duplicates without a convincing argument regarding their being duplicates. Again, I have no problem with this bug being marked a dupe if bug 92234 is expanded to also regard Impress/Draw, and that would be perfectly fair, but you should not try to make the issue "go away".
This was recently introduced with https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/140943
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #6) > This was recently introduced with > https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/140943 IIUC, that allows adding or editing a table style. This is about direct-formatting. I should see the two background colors in the table properties.

Dear Eyal Rozenberg, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
