In Impress' Normal view, one always has a slide open in the main section of the Windows. That means that one slide must _always_ be highlighted in the slide sorter (albeit possibly out-of-view, if you scrolled up). However - I sometimes arrive in a state in which _no_ slide is highlighted. I'm not quite sure what gets me to this state, but I get there.
Please do not report if there are no repro steps. It's just inflating BZ. Also, search before reporting.
(In reply to Timur from comment #1) > Please do not report if there are no repro steps. It's just inflating BZ. You have a wrong idea of when bugs should be reported. If a user sees an issue repeatedly and often, it should be reported, even if the user can't determine exactly how to reproduce the issue. > Also, search before reporting. I did. Why, do you think this is a dupe?
To reproduce: 1. Create a new presentation. 2. Add a second slide. 3. Type something in the content area of the first slide. 4. De-select the content area of the first slide. 5. Undo the typing (e.g. with Edit | Undo on the menus or Ctrl+Z) Expected results: The first slide is highlighted. Actual results: No slides are highlighted. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport explains how to submit a report. Steps are not reproducible. But I did see it during trials.
(In reply to Timur from comment #4) > Steps are not reproducible. But I did see it during trials. Damn it, you're right. I was able to reproduce this half-a-dozen times earlier, and now somehow I can't. Sorry.
Closing as dupe of something that seems close enough. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 145491 ***
