Created attachment 180980 [details] Testdocument with two lists Open the attached document. Contains two lists, fist List start with '1'. Start first list by setting "Toggle Restart Numbering" (button) or by context-menu of paragraph. Do the same by second list. Save the file, close and reopen it. "Toggle Restart Numbering" has been lost for the first list, has been saved for the second list. Now set the first list by context menu of paragraph and define "Start with '1'". Save the file, close and reopen it. Now the restart of numbering will be saved. Need this restarting for a master document. Many chapters of Base Handbuch - and restart doesn't work in every chapter. So I have set "Start with '1'" and it has been saved correct. Detected in LO 7.3.4.2 on OpenSUSE 15.3 64bit rpm Linux.
Hallo Robert, I'm not sure about your steps, but I've tried to reproduce it with following steps and couldn't reproduce: 1. Open attachment 180980 [details]. Document has one list (should be two lists) with list numbers 001 - 004 2. Put cursor in paragrpah with list number 004 -> Restart numbering -> list number becomes 001 (expected) 3. Save, close and reopen => document has still two lists (expected) Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: ce29e6299932fc079b05b60662ba95c8342990bc CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL
(In reply to Dieter from comment #1) > 1. Open attachment 180980 [details]. Document has one list (should be two > lists) with list numbers 001 - 004 There are some paragraphs between 003 and 004, so I have called this "2 lists". > 2. Put cursor in paragrpah with list number 004 -> Restart numbering -> list > number becomes 001 (expected) > 3. Save, close and reopen => document has still two lists (expected) Yes, for the second list (restart instead of setting 004) it will work. Now do the same by the button for the first list, which already starts with 001. This won't be saved. This problem appears for many documentations which are read from different chapters into one global document. Setting the first list by button wont save starting with 1 and the list will continue the values from the last list of the previous chapter.
I confirm it with Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: ce29e6299932fc079b05b60662ba95c8342990bc CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attachment 180980 [details] 2. In first paragraph of the list select "Restart Numbering" 8with context menu or in Format -> Paragraph -> Outline & Lists. Save. 3. Paragraph dialog -> Tab "Outline & Lists": "Restart Numbering" is still selected. 4. Reload Actual result: Paragraph dialog -> Tab "outline & Lists": "Restart Numbering" is deselected. Expected result: "Restart Numbering" should still be selected (because it works, if you aso select "Start with: 1") 5. In first paragraph of the list select "Restart Numbering" AND "Start with: 1" Save. 6. Paragraph dialog -> Tab "outline & Lists": "Restart Numbering" AND "Start with: 1" are still selected. 7. Reload Actual and Expected result: Paragraph dialog -> Tab "outline & Lists": "Restart Numbering" AND "Start with: 1" are still selected.
