I don't think it's a LibreOffice's feature. What Linux distro do you use?
Thank you very much for taking the trouble to comment. My Linux distro is Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS. I don't think the nagging has to do with the distro I'm using. First, I'm not using the distro's version of LibreOffice. I'm using a later version (7.2.7.2) that I downloaded directly from the LibreOffice site. Secondly, I only get the message when I open a LibreOffice file, either a word processing file or a spreadsheet, and not otherwise. (Those are the only two parts of LibreOffice I use.) Obviously, this is just a minor annoyance that doesn't stop me from using LibreOffice, but I thought I should report it anyway. Filing a bug report seemed to be the only way to do that. When there are two current versions of LibreOffice and someone chooses the less adventurous version, I don't think he should constantly be pushed towards the more adventurous version by an update notification. Thanks again, Leslie
