Description Vincent Boudry 2022-10-16 15:37:14 UTC
Description:
Allow some intermediate slides to be skipped in the counting and one terminal slide to be used as the total count.

Actual Results:
All slides (except hidden ones) are counted in <number> and <count> counters.

Expected Results:
The slide counters (<number> and <count>)could be improved:
1) by optionally allowing to skip one slide in the counting, as if it was hidden (typical example: a subtitle aka “centered text” slide.)
2) by tagging one slide to be the last one, typically the conclusion slide.
The following ones are usually back-up ones, and should not be counted.
The <number> of the first slide tagged as "terminal" is used as <count>.

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for the suggestion, Vincent.

Design/UX team, what do you think? Given that we already have bug 115611 and bug 115288.
Comment 2 Heiko Tietze 2023-10-17 10:47:53 UTC
Yes to skip hidden slides (bug 115288) and yes to a bit more flexibility (duplicate). If possible we could add a flag to the slide property whether it is counted or not, see bug 153259.
