Not reproducible.

Do you have a clipboard manager?
Please test in safe mode, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode.
Comment 2 Dan K 2022-11-09 23:38:22 UTC
No clipboard manager.
It still has the problem in safe mode.

The same sequence of steps can reproduce the problem in Writer.
Pasting into any other program works fine.
Comment 3 m_a_riosv 2022-11-10 00:16:49 UTC
I did in my control the same steps, with notepad.
Even with windows history clipboard, without any issue.
Let's see if someone else can reproduce the issue.

Hi Dan!
Could you please give us the detailed version/system information in Help > About LibreOffice?
Cheers!

For completeness' sake, I couldn't reproduce on Linux:

Version: 7.4.2.3 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 382eef1f22670f7f4118c8c2dd222ec7ad009daf
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
Comment 5 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2022-11-10 13:04:17 UTC
Currently NOT reproducible with Installation of Version:7.4.2.3 (x64)
Build ID: 382eef1f22670f7f4118c8c2dd222ec7ad009daf
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: de-DE | Calc: threaded | ElementaryTheme | My normal User Profile

But I sometimes observe similar problems. I am no sure whether I already found the issue I filed or commented for this.
"Bug 139307 - Particular seemingly selected contents not copied to clipboard" might be related, but is not exactly this one.

Apologies, I confused Dan and Rainer in my last comment!

Dan, please try version 7.4.3 and let us know if the issue is still present.

I could not reproduce on Windows 10 either:

No change, the problem still occurs just as it did before.

Comment 10 Viktor 2023-01-04 09:26:08 UTC
I have the sam problem with the Cliboard.
The only solution at the moment is to close all running instances and restart LO.

Maybe the problem result by using other Cliboard affecting apps??

I use as example a ClipBoard manager (ClipAngel 2.08)
Before that I used Ditto, with the same phenomenon
(https://sourceforge.net/projects/ditto-cp/files/Ditto/)

AND!
I use a Windows wide auto text app.
at the moment "Textbausteine Plus" (https://www.textbausteine-plus.de/)
And before that I have used Beeftext (https://beeftext.org/)
with the same phenomenon

This tools are working on all other Windows applications, only at LO I have recognize this failure.
Tested with, FireFox / Thunderbird, Notepad++, Editor, Outlook, MS Office...

In my File "ClipBoard Problem_b.gif" I have often used the Keyboard commands for copy&paste

Marking as New as Viktor has a similar issue, although it seems unrelated to extra software according to Dan.

Can you both try drag-and-dropping text into Calc and see if that works fine?
Comment 13 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2023-01-04 14:08:20 UTC
Please also let us know if it only happens in Calc or also in other components (Writer, Impress...).
Comment 14 Viktor 2023-01-04 14:59:55 UTC
Hi Stéphane,

what I can say is, that there must be a conflict between LO and the clipboard interface.
When the failure apears in LO and I stop the (extra software Clipboard manager & AutoText) the Clipboard in LO starts to wotk again.

Drag and drop works (just tried from Firefox to Calc and Writer)
Cliboard doesn't work :-/

After I Pause ClipAngel and Autotex it works again also in LO via Clipboard.

Why LO? Because when the failure apears in LO the Clipboard in other applications is working still fine, only not in LO apps (Calc and Writer just tested)

WorkArround for me is at the moment:
• to deactivate the other software tools
• copy & paste somthing in LO
• activate the other software tools again
Unfortunately, I can't work without the other tools....
Comment 15 Dan K 2023-01-04 15:18:45 UTC
This happens in Calc and Writer.
This does not happen in Impress or Draw.

Drag and drop from external sources will continue to work even after the Copy/Paste from external sources has stopped working. Tested with Firefox.

The only way to recover is to close LO.
Comment 16 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2023-01-06 13:55:58 UTC
I'm going to go ahead and mark this as a duplicate of the earlier bug 148647.
It sounds to me like it's exactly the same: on Windows 10, an attempt at pasting content copied from an external app into LO results in pasting the previous content copied from Calc.

for me the problem is in all apps of LO (not only in Calc/Writer)
