Description: While I'm able to correctly execute Conditional Formatting with "Cell Value" > "is equal to" as expected, I'm struggling to get "contains" formatting. same cell values > "contains" doesn't work at all. problem is 'is equal to' needs whole cell value to be exact match, which is not the case with my data, it only contains the data. so "contains" must work as expected. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a range of cells. 2. Conditional Formatting > "Cell Value" > "contains" > "enter a value" 2. Enter the same value "Dallas " in any given cell range. 3. Formatting doesn't work as expected. Actual Results: Conditional Formatting doesn't work as expected. Expected Results: Conditional Formatting MUST work as expected. It painful to have one function working and other NOT. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: SpreadsheetDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: yes
This is probably a duplicate of bug 123990 about case sensitivity (it should be case insensitive) of begins/ends/contains, that was fixed for 7.4.3. If it is something different then please attach a sample file to reproduce and reopen this bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 123990 ***
