Sometimes, when a use a shortcut on Writer, the program responds a if I had pressed the shortcut twice. Example: using Ctrl-B to make text bold doesn't have any effect, because if first makes the text bold, and then, makes the text not bold. I've had the same problem with other versions of LibreOffice, other computer and other distributions. Closing the program and opening it again has no effect. Data on the version I am using: Version: 7.3.6.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: c28ca90fd6e1a19e189fc16c05f8f8924961e12e CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.14; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: pt-BR (pt_BR.UTF-8); UI: pt-BR Calc: threaded
Thank you for reporting the bug. I can't confirm it with Version: 7.4.3.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 1048a8393ae2eeec98dff31b5c133c5f1d08b890 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL Of course, if it happens only "sometimes" it is very difficult to reproduce it. Could you please test, if problem ist still present in actual version LO 7.4 => NEEDINFO
After a long time using the program, LibreOffice Writer 7.4 behaves in the same way, repeating commands from shortcuts. Version I am using: Version: 7.4.3.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 1048a8393ae2eeec98dff31b5c133c5f1d08b890 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.14; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: pt-BR (pt_BR.UTF-8); UI: pt-BR Calc: threaded
One more thing: disabling extensions by restarting in safe mode doesn't change anything.
Is there a way to activate some kind of highly verbose mode showing every action that happens in the system so that I can make a better report?

I can't confirm it with Version: 24.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 42f0422d19c4d0a2fb09654fb6d1d92e50f6dd5c CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL threaded Regarding to your example with using Ctrl-B it looks, that shortkey doesn't work at all. You can control shortcut in Tools -> Customize -> Keyboard Perhaps you can also try in Safe Mode (Help -> Restart in SafeMode)
I found the culprit. This is a problem that happens if LibreOffice is running on KDE Plasma and there are some Gnome service running, as per https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=260689 I ran the following command line and the problem was solved: systemctl --user mask at-spi-dbus-bus.service --now #unmask to revert
