Open LO.
Open File → Wizards → Address Data Source...
One entry for address data source is "Thunderbird" here.
Choose "Thunderbird".
Next → Error appears, because no sdbc:address:thunderbird is available.

This isn't available since Thunderbird 78 (year 2020), because Thunderbird changed the addressbook to SQLite. You have to connect through ODBC or JDBC instead.
Comment 1 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2022-12-16 09:55:37 UTC
Thanks Robert. Surprised I can't find a duplicate.

I can reproduce with Thunderbird 102.4.2 and:

Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 28ff4647e9dac8eebe3a169e828bacc8dc78e363
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Error message:

SQL Status: HY000
The connection to the external data source could not be established. No SDBC driver was found for the URL 'sdbc:address:thunderbird'. at /home/tdf/lode/jenkins/workspace/lo_gerrit/tb/src_master/connectivity/source/commontools/dbexception.cxx:413

With LO 7.4, I get the same error, with the different path:

/home/buildslave/source/libo-core/connectivity/source/commontools/dbexception.cxx:413

Oh, there's bug 138715, by you Robert.
Is this any different?

This one is about the entry in the wizard. The other has been about the entry which appears, if you want to connect by Base to an external database. Entry in list of databases you could connect to has been removed, but not the entry in the wizard.

The entry in the wizard has to be removed. Might be this is special for GUI?

Almost certainly due to the changes pushed in bug 138715.
