Right Gutter position

Hello.

In Persian (Farsi) language books, the gutter of the book is on the right side.
So it’s strange for me that why there is right gutter as a separate option in the LibreOffice settings, when the right option could have been added to the gutter position dropdown list?
Is this due to a mistake in the user interface design?

Seems the UI for Gutter support with RTL could be merged with droplist. Look to have a mix with listbox (from bug 91920) and checkbox (from bug 140343) so a little confusing .

@Miklos?

That part of the dialog is a mess, I'm afraid - because the gutter is on different sides of different pages, so "Gutter Position" can't be described as "left" or "right", and that toggle can never be correct, whether it's clicked or not. One has to resort to trial-and-error.

Ah, but the right side of _what_?

In RTL book-ish documents, the first page, a recto page [1], is to the left of the gutter; the second page, which is the verso of the first sheet, is to the right of the gutter when you read it. The same then goes for all other sheets: recto pages are left-of-gutter, verso pages are right-of-gutter.
