Description: today, all day, while i work on a doc, it suddenly crashes. First time that happened was after a few minutes. Second time it was immediatelly after i started working on the document. I have deleted and reinstalled the version 7.4.5, same thing happened. Then i turned to previous version of LibrOff 7.4.3 and same thing happened. I am currently downloading again the version 7.4.5 and will try to reinstall to see if that works. Of course after each crach all documents i have open are closed, and each time i load libroff they are recuperated only to crush again after a couple of minutes that the page is activated by me writting something. Also, the table borders do not work, i cannot decide which borders will be on. i do not know if that is connected, because in 4 out of 5 crushes i haven't used the borders option, only the first time. I hope all this helpfull!! Steps to Reproduce: 1.open libreOffice writer 2.start adding text 3.crush Actual Results: simply start working on writer and after a couple of seconds it crushes .. there are no special steps. it just crushes Expected Results: it crushes. and crushed all open documents, not only the one currently working. each time the same thing. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: let me work on the document, let me save it when i finish it, and let me close the office application.
Please test in safe mode, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode
have reinstalled two more times, still crushing at the moment i try to work on it, even if i touch the scroller. At least now it runs ok on safe mode, before it didn't.

Could you give a try at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile ?
Thank you, will try that
I followed the steps in LOwiki, and i disabled first the Hardware accelaration. For now all is good, i can work on my files without them crushing!! if i have another incident, i will then move on to the second step that is restore/reset user profile. I want to really thank you all for your time and effort!!! it is really reassuring that you respond quickly and effectively! thank you!
If Skia related, did you check you got last version of your graphic driver? If you still reproduce this (with hardware acceleration enabled), could you provide <user profile>/cache/skia.log ?
yes i am updated to the bone! i enabled hardware accelerator and for now all runs smoothly. if it crushes again i will send you the user profil data you asked for.
Ok let's put this one to WFM then. If you reproduce this, don't hesitate to reopen this tracker.
Done!! THANK YOU!!
Hi. It crushed again. So i am in safe mode, with acceleration hardware deactivated. Where/how do i find the skia.log in order to send it to you?? (i am totally ignorant to all these, i just searched to understand what skia is and its role in LO). Thank you!

yes, i asked you because there is no Cache in the user section, however there is a cache file in uno_packages, that opens up to a Registry files and a new Uno_packages file, the latter is empty. The registry files open to some files which seem empty .. com.sun.star.comp.deployment.bundle.PackageRegistryBackend x7.
unfortuntely here i cannot paste you a snapshot of the window to see for yourselves what i am talking about .. i hope i described it clearly above.
is there a way to find the skia.log from the terminal? i could do that if you give me the commands i have to use
