Description Dorange-Pattoret Didier 2023-03-13 06:37:48 UTC
Description:
It seems to be impossible to install any extension for all users (shared extension) on MacOS.
And impossible to launch unopkg gui for all users.
It worked fine before. So it's a regression.
See my screen captures.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put the InterActiveConsoleDDP.oxt file in your Documents folder
2. Launch Terminal
3. Run command like screen capture

Actual Results:
The extension can't be installed

Expected Results:
Installed extension for ALL users.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It worked fine before, so it seems to be a regression.

It works fine with LO 6.0 but not with LO 7.0
So it's a regression between this two releases.

@Didier : we are talking about the version the TDF download from the project website ?

The version of LibreOffice from the app store doesn't appear to have the unopkg command line tool any more, or at least I can't find it in the bundle. Somehow, I can still install extensions into the user config though via the LO Extension Manager UI (not sure which command is being called when it does that though, if unopkg is absent). I will open a separate report for this.

I can confirm that when using the command line you have posted, I get the same error message as you with

Version: 7.4.5.1 / LibreOffice Community (TDF download)
Build ID: 9c0871452b3918c1019dde9bfac75448afc4b57f
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 13.2.1; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: osx
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR
Calc: threaded

@Alex:
Yes, all my downloads are coming from TDF.
As I said in comment 4, it works fine with LO 6.0 and not with 7.0

I confirm : all is ok with LO 6.4.7 (last 6.4). The problem comes with LO 7.0.0

Hello,
Is there anyone to fix this bug ?
Thanks.
Didier.

Unfortunately, probably not immediately.

It would need to be bibisected, but someone has flagged it as "notbibisectable", although I don't understand why exactly, perhaps because the bibisect range is too large ?

Hello,
Thanks for your explanations.
Simply : I do not think the range for bibisect is too large : the problem came beetwin LO 6.4.7 and 7.0

According to the help explanation of the keyword "notbibisectable", a reason is supposed to be given why it isn't. This doesn't seem to have been the case here.
