Description Peter H. Matter 2023-03-23 10:08:02 UTC
Description:
Currently, each layer can be managed individually. Since I use more than 100 layers, I can't currently turn on or off all or part of the layers. Now I have to click each layer individually, which takes a lot of time.
Because on my PC, every time I change a layer, the tab bar jumps back to the first position. This costs even more time to change the tabs at the end of the row.

A suggestion: a layer manager that allows this in a matrix would be great.
It would be even better if these "view settings" could be saved and loaded.
That way you could quickly save and load div. scenarios with different layers (view) turned on.
That would greatly increase efficiency.

What do you think, is this feasible?

Many thanks and best regards - Peter

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use a large number of layers
2. start switching on/off the view each Layer (shift + mouse left click)
3. see the effort needed, if you have 100+ layers

Actual Results:
Works, but extremely time consuming. The suggestion would enhance the product a lot

Expected Results:
works manually, but szenarios cannot be stored or loaded.

Reproducible: Always

This idea is already tracked in bug 56498.
Preferred solution seems to be to extend the Navigator. See for example the mockup there.
Thank you!
