Request that the UI save Character Highlighting Color selections between sessions (I use the same multiple colors many times each day and have multiple Character Highlight Color icons in toolbar and have to set the colors each time I open the Writer program).

Indeed it defaults to yellow.

One thing I did not understand... you want each Character Highlight control to remember its own color across multiple Writer sessions? Or do you want to use a single Character Highlighting control and have it remember its color?

Note that having multiple controls remembering their own color would make it a lot more complicated.

Anyways, this is a topic for the UX team.

Can you please test version 7.6.2? There was a related change for bug 154270.
In any case, I think this is likely a duplicate of bug 72991.
Thank you!
