Example file from Excel 2016

Attached example file has a data series name that has an empty second line.
In Excel this is not rendered in the charts data table, but in Calc it is.

1. Open attached file
-> the data table has two line tall headers, but in Excel it is only one line.

Hello Gabor Kelemen,

I have looked at both attachments; excel file and screenshot. There is an additional break in excel which showed in LO calc spreadsheet. I removed the linebreak and it resolved the issue. I did this similarly in both stable and master builds.

Is this a simple fix ok for you?

The idea is that we shouldn't render the line break in the data table, so we would be visually compatible with Excel. Let's set to NEW.
