See also bug 158112. Probably an easyhack.
Comment 1 Heiko Tietze 2024-05-27 09:18:34 UTC
See also bug 160544 (ctrl+f should be an additional shortcut).

Shortcut for SB Quick Find deck was #38 from bug 95405, https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95405#c38

The <Alt>+9 key should be available to assign, but will require a Tools -> Options check-box to use <Ctrl>+F for the SB quick find deck instead of the TB based Find bar. And, position per module's 'General' panel, or do we now need for a 'Find' panel?
Comment 3 Heiko Tietze 2024-05-28 04:02:13 UTC
See comment 1: I think the alt+<number> shortcuts should be done for all sidebar tabs (the solution comes to an end here and I suggest to turn it into UNO commands for customization). In addition to alt+9 we should offer the option to either open the sidebar or the toolbar with ctrl+f.

Where to place that option? Tools -> Options -> 'General', or do we now need a new tools -> options landing panel for all the Find/Search options that will accrue.

Since it is implemented only for Writer, yet, I'd put it in Writer > View under Outline Folding.

I've mentioned the shortcut in the release notes: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/index.php?title=ReleaseNotes%2F24.8&type=revision&diff=753348&oldid=753205

Thanks Heiko! :)
