ODT file that LO can not export ad PDF

When trying to export an ODT file as PDF, LO crashes and Debian closes the session forcefully. After this, nothing works well, even after initiating a new session. The only way to clean-up is rebooting the machine. This happens, specifically when the file has a watermark. No watermark, no problem. Nevertheless, the file with the watermark can be converted using unoconv as well as some python packages.

The details about he version and OS are in the attached file itself.

No issue on Windows with
Version: 25.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: e9a37656b75b4ce82b3e48af727f03f386e64a08
CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 22631); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

Please test in safe mode, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode
Comment 2 Fernando Cabral 2024-07-20 10:01:28 UTC
Yep, in safe mode it does work, albeit in an excruciating slow mode.

(Just to clarify: this is not Windows. This is Debian 12, LO 24.2.5.2 (X86 64) / LibreOffice Community.)

NO crash, but very slow to generate the PDF.
Version: 24.2.4.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 51a6219feb6075d9a4c46691dcfe0cd9c4fff3c2
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Very slow also in
Version: 25.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 7d924018f3ea58050081936bde067391714a8bb5

Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
Comment 4 BogdanB 2024-07-20 10:46:28 UTC
Extremely slow in 25.2 debug version. 16 cores at 100% for at least 4 minutes until the PDF is generated.
No message/warnings in the console.

Version: 25.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

Comment 5 Fernando Cabral 2024-07-20 10:52:20 UTC
Were you using safe mode?

In my case, without --safe-mode it crashes (and sometimes closes my session or even freezes the whole machine). With safe mode on, it works, but it is painfully slow.
One or two minutes for a blank page (just the watermark).

It will also display a message saying it is taking too long and asks if I want to proceed.

NO, but in this version is a new installation: 25.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

Working every time, but extremly slow. (16 cores)

The same message in my case. I have to press Continue several times.

I have tried with the AppImage version, as follows:

Version: 7.6.7.2 (X86 64) / LibreOffice Community
Assembly: dd47e4b30cb7dab30588d6c79...
Environment: Threads da CPU: 16; SO: Linux 6.1
GUI: Gestão da interface: padrão; VCL: gtk3
Locale: pt-BR (pt BR.UTF-8); Interface: pt-BR
Other: Calc:threaded

Results:
a) Takes a long time
b) the GUI is destroyed (almost everything disappears. It becomes almost a blank screen)
c) The resulting PDF file has only black pages
