Description Andrew Fisher 2024-09-30 11:19:55 UTC
Description:
The recent files list used to show all recent files opened in LibreOffice. Recently it started showing ones for the same sub-app at the top (which was helpful) but now writer doesn't show files opened in calc at all.
I can't get back to LibreOffice (which shows them all) without closing all document windows, so I end up opening a new empty file just so I can access its recently used files list.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a .odt document then close it
2. Open a .ods document
3. Click File / Recent Documents.

Actual Results:
You won't find the .odt document in the list

Expected Results:
You should find the .odt document in the list

Reproducible: Always

Note that this is actually a new feature in LO. Read the release notes in:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/24.8

You can change that with the following steps:

1) Go to Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Advanced
2) Click "Open Expert Configuration"
3) Look for ShowCurrentModuleOnly (click "Search")
4) Then change the value of "History - ShowCurrentModuleOnly" to False (just double click it to toggle between true and false)
