Created attachment 196846 [details] Example file from Add a note about paragraph DF settings and a „Clear Formatting“ button to the new Bullets and Numbering dialog, if there is paragraph DF applied on any paragraphs with the list style. To make the new Bullets and Numbering dialog more user friendly it would make sense to add a note telling users that the list settings may be overridden by paragraph level direct formatting. Currently it is possible to set a numbering on several paragraphs, then overriding their indent settings with paragraph direct formatting. This is not reflected in the bullet and numbering dialog, so the user (perhaps not the same person who made the paragraph formatting) can start modifying the settings and be surprised that they „don’t work“. (they do, after removing the paragraph formatting). 1. Open attached file 2. Notice the second paragraph has larger left indent than the others 3. Right click on the first paragrap, select List - > Bullets & Numbering 4. On the Postion tab change Aligned at to 1 cm, Indented at to 3 cm → The a and c paragraphs formatting changes, but b stays the same. There is no indication in the dialog why did it not change (pre-existing paragraph formatting).

(In reply to Gabor Kelemen (allotropia) from comment #0) > There is no indication in the dialog why did it not change > (pre-existing paragraph formatting). We also do not indicate P/DF for alignment, or DF for the font weight. But there is bug 88559 about some indicator at each attribute and bug 89826 for clearing the hierarchy. Make it a duplicate?
