When creating a pie chart, we are not offered the choice of the orientatio (clockwise/counter-clockwise) of the pie slices or donut regions; nor are we offered to set the initial angle. THis is despite the chart wizard having a "data series" section, and in the final orperties, there is a data-series option section in the Wizard - but it doesn't offer any of these options. Later, these settings don't appear on the sidebar anywhere. One could also argue that these are not quite data-series options, seeing how a pie or donut typically have just one "data series".
Charts have many attributes and I see no special need why the orientation needs to be present in the creation wizard. => WF

If done this should only apply to regular pie/donut charts, not of-pie charts. For the latter, the orientation should probably be fixed, because the composite wedge needs to face toward the secondary (bar or pie) chart.

Pie-of-pie has an orientation option now, accessible through Format > Data Series. If you believe that should not be an option, please file a bug about it. However - it's not an actual issue, since you can have the opposite orientation and still constrain the composite wedge to face towards the secondary pie.
We discussed the topic in the design meeting. Not many vote for simplicity first but argue that with sufficient space available we should offer this option in the chart wizard.
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #6) > Not many vote for simplicity first Well... the wizard is already there, the area of the window is already there, it's just empty right now. Other chart types use it to offer some "structure"-ish options, so we can let pies offer that too.
