Description:
Scanner not found when using Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS and LibreOffice 24.8.2.1.



Steps to Reproduce:
1.turn on scanner
2.open LibreOffice Writer
3.Select Insert > Media > Scan > Select Source
4.Open "device used" drop list


Actual Results:
The "device used" list is empty, no scanner available to pick 

Expected Results:
Scanner should have been listed in "device used" drop list and should then be selectable.

After command Insert > Media > Scan > Select Source a "not responding" dialog with "wait" and "close" options may appear. 

Select "wait" and after some more time the scan dialog opens. The "device used" drop list opens and is blank, there are no devices to select.

Scanner is multifunction printer Epson WF-3620 connected via network.

Other programs are able to detect and use scanner.
