Description: I have an Impress file (probably made initially with OpenOffice). When I start the slideshow, a sound is played despite we cannot see any sound linked in the slide, objects or transition. The file sound is in the same folder. If I open the Impress file package, I find the content.xml file and the path of the sound file is well recorded in this file. But we cannot edit or remove it from the slide ! Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create an Impress slide 2.Add a sound 3.Save, close, open it again and try to remove the sound Actual Results: Sound link not visible Expected Results: See a symbol linked to the sound Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 24.8.2.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 480(Build:1) CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.11; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR Ubuntu package version: 4:24.8.2-0ubuntu1 Calc: threaded
Created attachment 197633 [details] Impress file with 1 slide On my computer, If I start the slideshow, the sound is played immediatly (because I have the sound file : 4 Mo). Without, the sound will not be played and you will not find any link to this sound file in the slide. But in content.xml sub-file, you find the path to the .wav file.
Same bug than OpenOffice https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=99573
How are you adding the sound, I used Insert -> Audio or Video... I created a new file and downloaded your provided file, in both: Once I add a sound file (.mp3 or .wav) it appears as a media object with a "4 lines and a musical note" icon. I can move it around and even out of slide, off on the side area, zoom out to see it next to slide area. I saved the file, closed, re-opened and found the media object where it was saved. I was able to delete the media object with no issues. Thanks for this answer. And… I don't know how this sound was added ! This file is 8 years old, probably made with OpenOffice. I know that, usually, when you add a sound with a slide, you get a music icon on the slide. Probably not so severe issue like it was got with an old version of O.Office. But it looked interesting to be declared.
