Description Liz Lee 2024-12-24 13:55:19 UTC
Description:
Shortcut keys list (tools -> customize -> keyboard -> shortcut keys) changes are forgotten after switching between "( ) LibreOffice" and e.g. "( ) Writer" radio-buttons on top right of the tools -> customize -> keyboard window.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open tools -> customize -> keyboard -> shortcut keys
2. make changes in the list
3. click "assign"
4. click the inactive radio-button on the top right of the window to change to the other entry (so either to "LibreOffice" or to e.g. "Writer")

Actual Results:
previous changes in the list are forgotten once the radio-button has been clicked.

Expected Results:
previous changes should be saved.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
it should not be necessary to click the OK button first, which closes the window.
clicking "assign" should be sufficient to make changes permanent.

Can not reproduce. Opens by default on RB of the calling module. No 'Keyboard' panel for shortcuts except as called from active LO module.

And any shortcuts assigned are not forgotten.

The Tools -> Customize dialog is bi-modal for the Keyboard shortcuts--module specific (default) and global (LibreOffice). While the other customization tabs are global (default) or per document target from the scope combination box listing.

For the Shortcuts customization tab, both Global and Per-module are assigned from the same UI, opening with RB set by default to the calling module. I.e. opened from Writer the 'Writer' RB will be set, while if opened from Calc the 'Calc' RB will be set.

The two shortcut key lists are exclusive--the global 'LibreOffice' list is overridden by any shortcut key set at the module level.

Of course it does, you've assigned with "Zuweisen" but never applied it "Abbrechen" before changing modes!

"Abbrechen" means "cancel". There is no "Apply"-Button.

Sorry, false cognate and that os/DE lists buttons reversed order. But correct, no "Apply" button, rather the usage is to "OK" to complete an "Assign" after selection in the "Keys" list box. It closes the mode global or permodule for the keyboard. Requires reopen of the dialog to select keys from the other mode.
