Hi,

You have a master document with one sub document, which is "linked" into the master document.

--------
You insert the subdocument like this:
	Navigator,
find the icon in the icon menu-bar which says (as a tooltip) "insert",
	choose: "file"...

So, you're inserting a file :) A document (subdocument into your master doc).
--------

The problem (misbehavior):

When you (in Navigator window) click "edit link",
you see the path of the linked file (document).
BUT when you click on "browse", you land at a different location,
not in the folder where your linked document is.

How it should work?

When you click on "browse",
the directory in which the linked document is should open.

(It is "there" in the text field...
it should be simple to "get that value"...
only "browse" should not be a "blank browse", but an "open that directory" command...
I guess...)

(I checked it with Libreoffice 24.8.2.1 release)

It is the same dialog for sections (Insert > Section: Link). In my test the link opens the correct folder (eg. /Documents rather than /Downloads). Please add your version info - and comment if I understood wrongly.
