In addition to the very helpful Recent Files list, add the possibility to set a permanent list of files of interest. This is often called a "favorites list." These are files that are used again and again, sometimes at intervals that make them fall off the Recent files list.
You can "pin" files in the start center. Would that be sufficient?
Exactly, already implemented for bug 38742. Once "Pinned" via the StartCenter's GUI they now remain separated at the top of the 'Recent Files' listing and at the top of the StartCenter. They don't roll off even as the max history is reached. Current default history size (shown on File -> Recent Documents and as thumbnail views in the Start Center) is 25 documents (including any favorites). Count is adjusted via Tools -> Options -> Advanced 'Open Expert Configuration' to search for and edit the 'PickListSize' value. Seems a => WFM
