Version: 25.2.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e1cf4a87eb02d755bce1a01209907ea5ddc8f069 CPU threads: 28; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 26100); UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded I just upgraded from LibreOffice 24.8.4.2 to LibreOffice 25.2.0.3. The reason for the upgrade was because 25.2 offered the possibility, at least according to Release Notes, to change the colours of non-printing characters. Once 25.2.0.3 was installed I noticed that Text Boundaries were not being displayed. I messed around in Options... and (menu) View to make sure I had any settings that were relevant had been made. They were all made as best as I could see. However, the Text Boundaries never show up. It is also the case that in Options... > Appearance > Customisations > Table Boundaries I set this to show the colour 'white' (I use a green colour background for my documents so this 'white' is a decent contrast from the default 'Grey'. The result of doing that is the change do not acted upon and shown in the document. In all there are serious problems, bugs, with Boundaries in this 25.2.0.3 release. You need to go over all the Boundaries settings with a fine-tooth comb and make sure they are all working as intended.
Thanks for reporting this issue. This is a duplicate of bug 164185 and it should be fixed in LibreOffice 25.2.1 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 164185 ***

Radish: do you mean that even if View - Boundaries is checked, there is some issue? Did you also review the options found in Tools - Options - Writer - Formatting Aids?
Please add the command "Boundaries" to the View menu. It seem, that it is not automatically added on update. To do so, start with an new Writer document. Use Tools > Customize. Tab Menu, Target "View". Search for "Show Boundaries". The term depends on the used local, for German e.g. it is "Begrenzungen anzeigen". You can traverse the list of commands and look in the "Description" field. In its row 'Command:' it should show .uno:ShowBoundaries. That command is independent from local. It might be, that there is a problem with update of the user profile? A similar report is in bug 164447.
"Radish: do you mean that even if View - Boundaries is checked, there is some issue?" Yes. If I have (menu) View > Boundaries ticked it is still the case that the Text Boundary lines do not get shown in the document. "Did you also review the options found in Tools - Options - Writer - Formatting Aids?" I just did that just now and made/changed following setting: Options... > LibreOffice Writer > Formatting Aids > Object Boundaries > Text > (changed to) Border Outline and the issue got solved. It would seem that having set Object Boundaries > Text > Crop Marks by default on install of 25.2.0.3 was the problem. LibreOffice might want to change that in future releases. Hope my answers are understandable. In any case, that seems to be my issues with 'Boundaries' solved now. Thank you for your responses.

Hi Regina, At least in my case, I've just updated from LibreOffice 24.8.4.2 to 25.2.0.3 and the command "Boundaries" is in the View menu. I din't have to go to Tools > Customize to add it...

Can you attach your user/registrymodifications.xcu file from an installation that has this problem? Not sure, if you need to zip it first.
