Created attachment 199748 [details] LO scaled to 110%. Ribbon looks messy When scaled the ribbon looks ugly. Just as with the vcl kf5. I hope very much it is due to the ubuntu build or I must install some package to fix this.

Apart from the styles box that doesn't scale I have one more remark: the font chooser and font width chooser are completely glued to the tabs and in my opinion there should at least be a little white space between these and the tabs. I think they are too pressed together to look pretty now.
Created attachment 199770 [details] kf6 vcl working in Ubuntu In Ubuntu 24.10 I installed the libreoffice-kf6 package. It pulled some dependencies in but that is ok. After starting LO with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kf6 soffice I could see the appearance of LO. The ribbon interface looks much prettier than when using Kubuntu 24.10. I have no clue as to how this works, but perhaps you find in interesting to see.

Did you confirm by looking at Help - About that kf6 is used instead of gtk3?

Yes I did look and the kf6 vcl is used.
To elaborate a little on my comment 3... Imho there really should be more space in the ribbon. I understand why one would want to keep this space as little as possible - to save vertical screen space. But the sacrifice that is brought in this case is too big. The whole program looks unattractive even amateuristic. In my opinion it is also very important to look attractive and inviting to (new) users.

To me the gtk3 vcl plugin make LO look very well balanced and nice.
