Description wclauss 2025-03-18 21:31:14 UTC
Description:
Using Calc on Ubuntu 24
After defining a line for autofilter in CALC and picking a certain column drop-down menu, the field opens but the width increases with constant rate. After a few seconds, the buttons vanish beyond the border of the window.
This only happens on Ubuntu, not in a Windows installation.
However, there are no other problems with this setup

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a file in Calc on Ubuntu
2. define autofilter
3.pick dropdown filter menu

Actual Results:
width of dropdown field not stable

Expected Results:
width should stay in line with colums width

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Or make a screenshot

Have you tested in safe mode?
Do you have a second computer to test the issue?
Maybe attach a minimal file in which you can reproduce the issue

Thanks for submitting the screenshot as it reminded me of a bug that I saw (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151793)

The advanced search feature isn't the best to search for all kinds of Resolved resolutions at the same time

Citing the reporter's comment :
"the culprit is the color theme I'm using !!
Several themes cause the problem I described above, but most don't !!
Solution is to simply remove the "bad" themes"

I would expect for the color theme to only change colors, and not the size of the windows. I would label it as an unwanted behavior.

As I don't know how a color theme is supposed to work, I let the LibreOffice team to confirm or resolve the bug report.

Do you have the same color theme on linux and windows ? If so, then I would confirm the bug

Also please tell what color theme you use

The hint for changing was unexpected, but really successful.
I went form a colorscheme "Blue-Submarine" to "Adwaita", and now the window stay at their original size.
Thank you very much!
