Demo document

You enable hyphenation for some cells with Right click - Format cells - Alignment - "Hyphenation active" need to be checked.

Open my demo file. Should be hyphenated.

I can not confirm for ODF format with Version: 25.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: dcd3427149c33852428b4198c22f6f858125c294
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: cs-CZ (cs_CZ.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

but I can confirm for xlsx format. I suppose you're using xlsx and I'm setting the bug as duplicate. If you're using another file format, please set bug to Unconfirmed status again and provide more information.

Sorry for my late response. I see it is resolved already. Yes, it is an xlsx file.
Comment 6 BogdanB 2025-04-16 15:33:41 UTC
It is not resolved, Timur explained that it is not OUR bug, because ...
"LO Calc has "Hyphenation Active" with Format-Cells-Wrap and MSO Excel doesn't have that option.

I don't see Hyphenation in "18. SpreadsheetML Reference Material" either.
So looks like MSO and XLS and XLSX formats don't support Hyphenation.
I'll close as NotOurBug and add to "XLSX-Limitations"."
