Description Ysabeau 2025-08-28 14:31:54 UTC
Description:
In Writer, the navigator no longer allows you to move from one item to another as it should. When you click on something in the navigator (I use the Sidebar) : title, frame, table, picture, etc., it doesn't bring you to it as it should and did before.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a document with headings, table and/or image and several pages to better view how it works (or not)
2.View the sidebar and go the Navigator
3.Click on something in the Navigator: heading, table, image, etc.

Actual Results:
Nothing.

Expected Results:
The navigator should bring you to the place you want: heading, table, image, etc.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
I tried in Safe Mode with same result. So I don't think it is a question of profile.

Mageia 9, Xfce.

I should add: before, double click works, now you have to right click and to select "go to". I believe the "old" way should be kept.

It seems that the default configuration has been modified (and that I some trouble with my keyboard, sorry). To restore this functionality:

Tools > Options > Advanced > Open Expert Configuration

Then search NavigateOnSelect and Edit to true.

Entry on NavigatOnSelect:
Type is "boolean"
Value is "false"

but works as expected with attachment 202559 [details] and

Side note:
As a note for the author of the document: I like very much the customized toolbar with frequent styles that you use in this document. Great!
