Description JimHebert 2025-09-02 17:42:14 UTC
Description:
It takes 20 seconds to open a word doc. It says"not responding". The last version gave me a different problem. I think you need to get a new programmer. Lately you have been having problems which I never had in the past.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a doc takes 20 t0 30 seconds.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
"not responding" appears.....finally it opens.

Expected Results:
Open in 2 or 3 seconds

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Tried safe mode. Couldn't find "hardware acceleration". No instruction on step by step on how to find where it says "user profile" or on how to reset user profile even if I am looking right at it. Is there a reset button anywhere? Then I had to re-start computer to get out of safe mode.

If you restart in Safe Mode you use a clean user profile

Is it possible for you to attach that doc file, because without that file is it impossible to reproduce the problem. Please see also meta bug 104848. Similar problems are reported there.
