Calc shows us three categories of named styles: Cell, drawing, page. But actually, we need: * Character styles for subsets of the text in cells, in comments, and in text boxes (that's 108220) * Paragraph styles for text boxes and comments. * List styles for text boxes with numbered paragraphs See also bug 152652 about style categories missing in Impress/Draw.

Sounds like a duplicate plus multiple issues in one report.
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #1) > Sounds like a duplicate plus multiple issues in one report. So what you're saying is make this a meta-bug and file the other issues individually? I could do that... but actually, other than 108220, the other styles all regard boxes - text boxes and comment boxes. Perhaps we should make this a cross-module meta bug about exposing PS'es, CS'es, and LS'es for boxes?
(In reply to Eyal Rozenberg from comment #2) > So what you're saying is make this a meta-bug... No, to me a META bug is about a feature. And we have Calc-UX, AFAIR. > and file the other issues individually? Yes, if needed. > ...the other styles all regard boxes - text boxes and comment boxes Please double-check first. Text boxes use a drawing style. And I get startled by "comment style".

And we have Calc-UX, AFAIR. META bugs is about tracking any set of related bugs. But - this could be a sub-meta-bug of Calc-UX. > > ...the other styles all regard boxes - text boxes and comment boxes > Please double-check first. Text boxes use a drawing style. And I get > startled by "comment style". Text boxes use a "Drawing Style" for the _outer_ features of the box. With the box, there are paragraphs, there are lists, and there is text (= characters). And those need Paragraph Styles, List Styles, and Character Styles. I never said "comment style".... comments are basically boxes, one should be able to apply Drawing Style's to them; or possibly have a "structural drawing style" which they're stuck with.
