Indeed it would be appropriate to disable one of the two sides. This requires to apply one side immediately when the Synchronize option is checked. In the consequence you cannot sync the end style to the start. And we currently do not synchronize the Center option. I would rather keep the current solution as it makes the interaction more flexible.
