Description Kamil J. Dudek 2025-11-01 17:31:52 UTC
Description:
If I set the patterned background on a master slide it gets applied, but if I save and reopen the document, the background of all the slides get set to color blue. When I set it again to a pattern, it gets applied visually again, but after save and reopen – back to blue.

I saved the document as a single-XML FODP and diff’ed it pre and post setting the background on master slide. The diff only includes minor, unrelated items and date, with no changes indicating a slide color modification. I can provide the document as an example.

FILESAVE FORMATTING

Steps to Reproduce:
1. View → Master Slide
2. Slide Properties
3. Background → Pattern
3a. Pattern: 20%
3b. Foreground color: light grey 5
3c. Background Color: white
4. Apply
5. Save and reopen

Actual Results:
Slides are blue, blue wasn't even used once in the editing process.
Master slide background properties say „Image” with no image set.

Expected Results:
Slides should use the 20% pattern
Master slide background properties should say „Pattern”

Reproducible: Always

Looks like it happens even if set directly and not via master slide as I found an older report.
