Description Gerd Herrmann 2025-11-26 21:20:07 UTC
Description:
When starting MATH, when choosing in the sidebar ELEMENTS either Functions or Operators, I get first regular English explanations, and underneath then arabic symbols. THese show on mouse-hover e.g. "Limits(Persian)" in Operators, or e.g. "Cotangent".
Since LibreOffice is set to be in English, my mothertongue is German, Arabic is not really helpful and likely not supposed to be there.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Math
2.Select "Function" or "Operator" in Sidebar "ELEMENTS".
3. See Arabic below the first 2 or 3 normal sections.

Actual Results:
I see Arabic (Persian) explanations while this is supposed to be English

Expected Results:
Selectable items explained in English

Reproducible: Always

Hello Gerd Herrmann,

I can confirm that I am seeing the same non‑English characters when selecting functions and operators. I am not sure if this is intended behavior or an error, as the English versions are also listed above the Arabic/Persian entries in both the functions and operators tables.

One item that does appear incorrect is that the top functions table shows a non‑English version of Sin(), and this occurs in both the live and Alpha versions. I am therefore confirming the reported behavior is present in both environments.
