I'm trying to install LibO to drive E: because my drive C: has less than 700MB free space (in VM). But the installer insists of requiring 1GB space in C: in addition to requiring ~500MB in E: when I choose to install E:\Program Files\LibreOffice 3.3. I would expect that the installer imposes no space requirement in C: when installing to a different drive.
Created attachment 41116 [details] screenshots The dialog on the left shows that I'm trying to install to E:\Program Files\LibreOffice 3 and the dialog on the right is what I get when I click Next. As you can see I have sufficient space in drive E.
Fridrich, is that for you?
The installer presumably wants to use the 1 GB for temporary files, and your profile ("home") directory is on the C: drive, right? Try setting the TEMP and/or TMP environment variables to point to some scratch folder on the E: drive before running the installer. In my humble opinion, trying to run a Windows installation in 2010 with less than a few gigs of free space on C: is just silly. But I know that many valued community members are strongly of different opinion and insist that if OOo has managed to be installed with X megs of free space, LibreOffice should continue to do so. Anyway, isn't this a duplicate of bug #32250 ?
Yeah that's fine. Let's call this a duplicate. Indeed, pointing TMP and TEMP to drive E solved my problem. Thanks a lot. :-) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 32250 ***
