Description James Ronback 2011-02-28 21:01:35 UTC
Using the hyperlink bar, it is impossible create a hyperlink by copy and paste. One is forced to type manually the text and the related URL. If one attempts to do a copy and paste into either field the contents revert to the previous hyperlink as soon as you reposition the cursor to location you want to place the hyperlink. Typing a very long URL is error prone and time consuming
Comment 1 James Ronback 2011-02-28 21:07:18 UTC
I'm trying to do the copy and paste using texts and URLs that are already in the document I'm editing.
Comment 2 James Ronback 2011-02-28 21:08:57 UTC
in an attempt to hide the URLs

NOT reproducible with "LibreOffice 3.3.1 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO330m19 (build 8 / tag 3.3.1.2)]". I create hyperlinks by copy / paste dozens of times a day, this is an user error.

@James Ronback:
Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you find out that the problem still exists in the latest release of LibO, if you are really sure that it's a real bug and not only some faulty operation and if you can provide requested additional information.
Before you do so, please read hints on
<http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport> carefully!
Then please:
- Attach screenshots with comments (you can add information using LibO DRAW
and then attach your screenshot with comments as PDF)
- Attach a sample document
- Contribute a step by step instruction containing every key press and every
mouse click how to reproduce your problem
- add information
  -- what exactly is unexpected
-- and why do you believe it's unexpected
  -- concerning your PC
  -- concerning your OS
-- concerning your LibO version and localization
  -- how you launch LibO
-- how you get hyperlink content to clipboard
-- whether you can paste hyperlink to other documents or LibO document body
-- everything else crossing your mind after you read a.m. URL

My recommendation: you should discuss your problem on an user mailing list.

Can you please file Bug reports with status UNOCNFIRMED if your are not absolutely sure that the problem will be reproducible with information you can provide? Thank you!
