Created attachment 44111 [details] in Writer language menu contains too few variatns of languages language menu contains too few variatns of languages, hard to use it explanations in Attachment tryed on Linux 64 bit yet
Oh please, in the future, do try to write an explanation of the bug in-line here in the report, not in an attachment. You do want it to be as easy as possible for a developer to pick your bug to work on, right? Consider that there is no lack of bugs and enhancement requestes, so any step that makes it harder to understand what a bug is about will just make it more likely it will be ignored.
For example I entered word el gato , selected it and want to change language to Spanish. When I press button on statusbar, there appears this: -english -none -reset. To few variants. I expected at least this: -Language of interface of office (present) -Language of desktop (russian, absent) -Languages of installed dictionaries (French, Spanish, absent) And to select needed language I need to press variant More... and select form list of all languages. And so each time when new document created. And in Tools->Language->For selection the same situation: not enough variants of languages. One time, when OpenOffice 3.0 just appears, on Linux in this menu was only English and Russian. Whole year I think, that spellcheck in OpenOffice on Linux is broken. On windows appears other languages properly. An then I accidentally learned, that language can set in font properties. I was so happy, that spellcheck at last works. When something in text selected to other language, then this language appears in this menu. Problem only in initially variants.
Are you using the generic LibreOffice from www.libreoffice.org, or one included in a distro? Very few distros provide LibreOffice yet, but that is the recommended one to use. Are you sure you have installed all relevant packages?
Sure, because no errors while instaling and on windows the same result. On OpenOffice since 3.0 exist the same problem.
Sigh, please respond to both questions in comment #3...
