I had a presentation open in LibreOffice Impress. In one of the slides, there was a title and text area. I added bullets to the body text. When I changed the text color, the bullets remained black. I tried everything I could think of. This is either a bug or a major usability problem.

I'm already part bald. Please fix this before I pull out the remaining strands of hair on my head. :-)

With Libre Office 3.3.3 on Win XP and Linux Mandriva 2010 x86, bullet color can be chosen in Format - Bullets and Numbering... - Customize - Numbering "Bullet" - Color "Light Red" for example.

1. Observed: when Bullet color is "Automatic", Bullets are always black.

2. Expected: when Bullet color is "Automatic", Bullet is the same color as the fist character of text after bullet.

Platform "Linux(All)" modified to "All".

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:

Thanks for bugreport
Currently behaviour is exactly as in PowerPoint 2003

@ Cyril
Thanks for explanation how to change color of bullets

Strange expectation. IMHO automatic means that colors always differ from background (such assumption works in Impress)

When you change the colour of a bullet list, you also expect the colour of the bullet points to change. They don't.

Also, I have found no way to change the colour of a bullet point at all - does one exist?

This does not change the colour of an existing bullet point list - and I cannot find any way to do so.
