in best case it open empty doc in worst - just unexpected close probably customXML is root of problem - since this feature removed from latest MS Office - probably customXML element should be ignored

Cedric: Can you please check?
Missing contents problem is [Reproducible] with reporter's sample document and "LibreOffice 3.4Beta3 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [DEV300m103 (Build:3)]". Same problem with obsolete OOo-dev 3.4 version. MS WORD Viewer will open the problem without problems and shows contents. Works fine with OOo 3.1.1, that should to spur us on fixing that. A document converted to odt with OOo3.1.1, reopened with LibO and saved as openxml.docx will show contents in MS-Viewer and LobO (what ever that might mean) I modified Status due to facts. @Reporter: Unfortunately we can not handle "Many problems with ..." reports. So here we will handle the problem you see in modified subject. If you observe other problems, please file new reports (may be one by one) for them. Although I think that the problem is independent, please contribute information concerning your Platform / OS And, of course, thank you for using LibO and for your attention.
Bug 36862 - Docx file displays nothing is very similar, even might be a DUP.
Cedric: d5fe99eae04e0a706f072e1da5943c04f52dcd40 in master. Bug #36862 is not a duplicate.
not reproducible with LO 4.0.2.2 (Win7 Home, 64bit) I compared it with MSO 2007. The document is opened fine in LO without any problems and with the same content as in MSO 2007. MSO 2007 also opens the file, but with the comment that the document uses custom XML elements, which are no longer supported and cannot be saved. Therefore, I would propose to close this bug report can anybody still confirm a buggy behavior? -> changed the status
Should be fixed according to comment #5.
