Usability problem: No "merge cells" on right mouse click in Calc
Using OpenCalc, I tried to merge two (or more) cells. I expected this
functionality to be available in the context menu after performing a right
mouse click. This is the way, how it is handled in the table tool of Writer,
but also Excel. This would be a very handy addition.
Currently, this functionality is only available via "Format"-"Merge Cells".

Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:

Enhancement request is still valid for LibreOffice 3.5.
Set report from "NeedInfo" back to "New" again.
This could be an easy hack. Can any developer confirm that this is an easy hack?

Fix for this bug
Is the positioning in the context menu and the location of the ~ appropriate?
Greggory Hernandez committed a patch related to this issue.
It has been pushed to "master":
fdo#37210 - UI: Calc usability improvement: Merge cells on right mouse click
@Greggory: Thanks a lot! Since this is bug entry has a patch and is marked for target 3.6.0 I add it to the wiki: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/3.6
Please correct me, in case the patch does not go into 3.6
Will it possible to do unmerge for the merged cell in right click menu.
marking closed :-) the unmerge is not present, but would indeed be nice - left as an exercise for the next easy-hacker :-)
On Michael's suggestion, I opened a new bug 49704 based on the idea to unmerge cells on right mouse click.
Could you please also mark that bug a EasyHack? Thanks.
