Problem description: Not able to paste the column width Steps to reproduce: 1. Select e.g. 5 columns on sheet 1 2. Goto sheet 2, select 5 columns and do Paste Special 3. There is no 'Paste column width'. Uncheck 'paste all' and select 'Formatting'. Indeed the column width is adjusted but the formatting of this sheet too; there is no way to just paste the column width as in MS Excel. Current behavior: See 'steps to reproduce'. Expected behavior: See 'steps to reproduce'. Platform (if different than the browser): Windows, Linux (Ubuntu) Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/14.0.835.187 Safari/535.1
Thanks for new idea In 3.5.2 such functionality not implemented yet. Changing status to New
Created attachment 110317 [details] Paste menu in Excel 2010 with "Keep source column width" option
In addition to an explanation in Comment 0 (cannot paste the column width without formatting), there's another practical problem with this: - if we want to copy just some cells (part of the sheet), not entire columns, then we can't paste them with their width at all, and they retain the width of a new sheet. That may be another issue, but the solution seems the same: to have "Keep source column width" option. The issue is inherited from OO.

Afer trying this copy/paste of some formatted cells with assigned width AND height, this issue is valid for BOTH of directions/axis. In other words, when you want to copy/paste "some cells with special height or special width"... It just doesn't paste neither height nor width. I could be a useful addition to "paste special" menu.
