Description Shad Sterling 2011-10-13 20:13:51 UTC
When I open LibreOffice I get the StartCenter which seems to want me to create a new document, which is almost never what I opened it for.

The DisableStartModule extension attached to OpenOffice bug 90815 < https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=90815 > seems to be compatible with LibreOffice, but rather than disabling the StartCenter, it replaces it with a blank Text Document.

I would much rather have LibreOffice launch with nothing open than to have it launch and open something I will almost never use. Judging by the OpenOffice bug an forum posts I found when looking for a way to do this, it's much more than just me who would make use of this option.

Another option which would work well for me would be to save the set of open document windows when LibreOffice is closed, and restore them when LibreOffice is opened. I don't know if that option would be as popular as this one.

The DisableStartModule extension doesn't just prevent the StartCenter from opening on launch, it seems to make it entirely inaccessible. I don't intend to make it entirely inaccessible, only to make it not appear automatically.

Please, make your choice in command line options for libreoffice. In a terminal type libreoffice4.1 --help

Closing as duplicate of bug 41776.
